Louisville KY Personal Trainer

If you want to get into shape fast, do you follow the latest trends or go back to the tried and true types of exercise that have worked for centuries? How many reps is enough to get you into shape without causing injury? It’s all pretty confusing, but a Louisville KY personal trainer can help. Personal trainers don’t use a one-size-fits-all type of program. Instead, they use their knowledge of exercise to create a program specifically for your needs.

Before a trainer creates your program, he or she must first get some information.

Trainers use information to create your workout. The trainer will first ask your goals, learn any special needs and then assess your fitness. He or she will look at all types of fitness from strength and flexibility, to balance and endurance. Identifying weaker muscle groups is also part of the info gathering process. Only then does the trainer design a program to help you reach your goal the fastest. It will be created to work you toward your maximum potential.

Great programs provide nutritional information.

Not all trainers work with dietitians. Those that do provide was to improve your eating habits to aid in the transformation of the body. Some trainers went the extra step and became registered dietitians so they could help their clients even more. The information provided isn’t a diet, but help in learning how to make smarter choices when it comes to food. It will include more whole foods and fewer processed ones that are often empty calories. When you add eating healthy to a workout program, the results come even quicker.

Trainers track your progress.

While a trainer creates an initial program, his or her work doesn’t stop there. The trainer tracks your progress, too. That’s so important. Not only does it let the trainer know whether there need to be adjustments, he or she also knows when you start to find the workout easy, meaning your level of fitness improved. That’s when the trainer modifies your program to reflect your new fitness level and makes it even harder. You’ll always be working toward maximum, so you’ll see faster gains. People who work out on their own often fail to take this step.

– Personal trainers provide a great deal of motivation. Just knowing you have an appointment with the trainer is incentive to show up at the gym.

– Personal trainers vary the workout frequently. That helps prevent boredom, keeps your mind in the workout and eliminates the potential for plateauing, which can occur when the body becomes too efficient at doing a specific movement.

– Find a personal trainer that offers 100% money back guarantee if you don’t reach your fitness goal. That proves the trainer is confident and has great success with others in the past.

– Don’t worry about being too fit or not fit enough to use a personal trainer. Trainers work with people of all fitness levels.

“My birthday present was 1 month of personal training!”

After turning 30, I decided to give myself 1 month of personal training as a birthday present. Weights and gyms were out of my comfort zone and after reading every Men’s Health article I was more confused on what to do! I started with 3 sessions a week , followed instructions on what to do and eat on off days. I am now 40 getting close to
40, more fit, leaner, and more confident. And I still workout with Jeff!! Best thing I ever did for myself!

“I’ve lost a total of 30 lbs and even lost all the fat dimples on my derrière and legs!”
The truth was and I say (was) getting fat, fat, fat… I’m 38 years old and I was not happy with the direction my body was heading. At 179 lbs I had known for quite sometime I needed to do something about my weight. I always had some type of excuse, I work 40 hours a week, I have children, I cook, clean; I’m busy or just plain exhausted, ect..ect.. Excuse after excuse. There was a bunch of things that I wanted to do but my health and physic had already limited my activities. Example, I wanted to spend all day at the Water Park with the children, run around and play. Instead I basked in the sun pretending the chaffing on my legs didn’t hurt from just the walk in the park. My bathing suites were cute (as can be expected) but it was the beach towel that I wore over my suite that became my new style of swimwear. I was completely ashamed of my body so I just covered it up.
On October 1st 2010 it hit me, I was finally sick and tired of being sick and tired of the way I looked. I knew I needed help. So I started to do a search for a personal trainer. I set myself up an appointment with Jeff and we decided to do 3 days a week for 8 weeks, otherwise known as “Boot Camp”. I will tell you especially in the beginning if I didn’t have Jeff as a trainer, motivator, educator I could have not done and I say (done) this alone. The first day (1 hour) I was crawling on the floor, hugging gym equipment. I was so out of shape that I completely embarrassed myself or so I thought. Jeff and I evaluated my diet, set caloric goals and at home cardio. If Jeff didn’t push me to complete my repetitions in our sessions I know I would have never accomplished this type of effort on my own, no way, No Way..!!
February 4, 2011, thirteen days away from my 39th birthday, And I weigh 149 lbs!! I’ve lost a total of 30 lbs. I’ve gained muscle, I wear a size 8 pant I use to be a 14. I’ve even lost all the fat dimples on my derrière and legs “Bye Bye Cellulite  …and …..Look out Water Park ”… and I’ll leave the towel in the car!

“Jeff is an encouraging, engaged and patient trainer!”

Jeff’s knowledge of personal fitness and strength training has  allowed me to reach my personal fitness goals. The program he has designed for me is challenging and very rewarding.  Jeff is an encouraging, engaged and patient trainer and has taught me the importance of including strength training combined with a healthy diet in my daily life.

“Jeff has been a huge supporter, motivator and encourager!”

I have worked with Jeff for  over 5 years. He has been a huge supporter, motivator and encourager to my physical and emotional well being. I have always been in shape but since working out with Jeff my body has changed and I’ve become stronger and more physically fit. Even after major surgery, I was able to bounce back and quickly pick up where I left off. I don’t know what I would do without Jeff in my life.
