Personal Training Louisville

There are many reasons to use personal training in Louisville. If you’re like most people, even if you’ve lived here all your life, you haven’t enjoyed everything this town has to offer. It takes energy to do everything and most people are exhausted after a long day of work. The countryside is beautiful, but if you’re out of shape a hike in Cherokee Park, no matter how beautiful, simply doesn’t sound appealing. Getting back into shape to boost your energy is not only great for you, it gives you the extra power to do fun things with the family, like go to the Louisville Zoo.

Don’t worry if you’ve never worked out before, personal trainers work with people of all fitness levels.

Trainers don’t use a cookie cutter approach that can leave some people bored and others left behind. Instead, they first learn about you. Not everyone is the same and trainers know that. Each person has different goals. Some people want to lose weight, others want to tone and still others just want more energy and good health. Trainers also need to know if clients have special needs, such as physical limitations. Before they start a client’s workout program, they need to assess the fitness level to insure it’s tailored specifically for them.

The program will be hard and you might not believe you can do it.

Even though it’s hard, it’s still safely within your capabilities. Trainers show you how to do each exercise and then watch to ensure you do it correctly to avoid injury and maximize the benefit. Trainers also record your progress and just when the workout starts to feel easier because your fitness level improved, they adjust it to match that new fitness level. You’ll always be striving to reach your maximum potential, even when that potential is greater.

Some trainers take a two fold approach to getting fit.

Not all trainers, but a few, provide nutritional information to help you eat healthier. While exercising boosts your energy level, so does clean eating. You won’t be susceptible to the dramatic ups and downs in energy caused by fluctuations in sugar levels. You’ll also have all the nutrients to build muscle tissue faster and develop more energy. You’ll be amazed at how quickly you’ll notice you’re accomplishing tasks faster and how much more you can get done in a day.

– Many illnesses and conditions can wear you out and leave you feeling exhausted. Many of those occur because of inactivity and a lack of proper nutrition.

– Before you start on any program of regular exercise, particularly if it’s to build more energy, always check with your health care provider to insure it’s nothing more serious.

– You’ll notice other changes besides more energy and a fitter body. One of those is that you’ll actually look years younger. Not only will you have pep in your step, your complexion will improve.

– You’ll sleep better at night when you exercise. That can be huge if you’re trying to combat fatigue.

“My birthday present was 1 month of personal training!”

After turning 30, I decided to give myself 1 month of personal training as a birthday present. Weights and gyms were out of my comfort zone and after reading every Men’s Health article I was more confused on what to do! I started with 3 sessions a week , followed instructions on what to do and eat on off days. I am now 40 getting close to
40, more fit, leaner, and more confident. And I still workout with Jeff!! Best thing I ever did for myself!

“I’ve lost a total of 30 lbs and even lost all the fat dimples on my derrière and legs!”
The truth was and I say (was) getting fat, fat, fat… I’m 38 years old and I was not happy with the direction my body was heading. At 179 lbs I had known for quite sometime I needed to do something about my weight. I always had some type of excuse, I work 40 hours a week, I have children, I cook, clean; I’m busy or just plain exhausted, ect..ect.. Excuse after excuse. There was a bunch of things that I wanted to do but my health and physic had already limited my activities. Example, I wanted to spend all day at the Water Park with the children, run around and play. Instead I basked in the sun pretending the chaffing on my legs didn’t hurt from just the walk in the park. My bathing suites were cute (as can be expected) but it was the beach towel that I wore over my suite that became my new style of swimwear. I was completely ashamed of my body so I just covered it up.
On October 1st 2010 it hit me, I was finally sick and tired of being sick and tired of the way I looked. I knew I needed help. So I started to do a search for a personal trainer. I set myself up an appointment with Jeff and we decided to do 3 days a week for 8 weeks, otherwise known as “Boot Camp”. I will tell you especially in the beginning if I didn’t have Jeff as a trainer, motivator, educator I could have not done and I say (done) this alone. The first day (1 hour) I was crawling on the floor, hugging gym equipment. I was so out of shape that I completely embarrassed myself or so I thought. Jeff and I evaluated my diet, set caloric goals and at home cardio. If Jeff didn’t push me to complete my repetitions in our sessions I know I would have never accomplished this type of effort on my own, no way, No Way..!!
February 4, 2011, thirteen days away from my 39th birthday, And I weigh 149 lbs!! I’ve lost a total of 30 lbs. I’ve gained muscle, I wear a size 8 pant I use to be a 14. I’ve even lost all the fat dimples on my derrière and legs “Bye Bye Cellulite  …and …..Look out Water Park ”… and I’ll leave the towel in the car!

“Jeff is an encouraging, engaged and patient trainer!”

Jeff’s knowledge of personal fitness and strength training has  allowed me to reach my personal fitness goals. The program he has designed for me is challenging and very rewarding.  Jeff is an encouraging, engaged and patient trainer and has taught me the importance of including strength training combined with a healthy diet in my daily life.

“Jeff has been a huge supporter, motivator and encourager!”

I have worked with Jeff for  over 5 years. He has been a huge supporter, motivator and encourager to my physical and emotional well being. I have always been in shape but since working out with Jeff my body has changed and I’ve become stronger and more physically fit. Even after major surgery, I was able to bounce back and quickly pick up where I left off. I don’t know what I would do without Jeff in my life.
