I joined Iron Fit less than a year ago. I liked it on Facebook and followed it when they posted new transformations and success stories. I wanted something different. I was part of the CrossFit scene and enjoyed it. After having issues with my shoulders, I knew I needed less of the competitive olympic lifting and programming. I was looking for a program that could help me change my body. I did the three day trial and truly enjoyed the programing. There’s really nothing out there like it. You get both strength training and cardio but in a structured format.
I was anticipating a 12 week challenge that started in September. After seeing all the before and photos from the last challenge, I committed. Erik had a class just on proper eating and nutrition before the challenge started. I never had anyone sit down with me and explain the basics of nutrition. Erik sat us down and told us the different ways to be successful. He personalized it based on our goals.
In 12 weeks I lost a total of 35 pounds and a ton of inches. My shoulder feels great. My endurance is ten times what it was when I did CrossFit. This is something I can do for a long time. I am truly happy to be part of the Iron Fit Family.
